CWU Team Wins Beijing Uni Volleyball Championship
The current season of the Volleyball League of Beijing Higher Institutes (VLBHI) came to an end at the gymnasium of Beijing Jiaotong University recently. Through nearly one month of competition, the team of China Women’s University (CWU) won the women’s championship. The team also earned the title of Outstanding Gaming Publicity Unit, and CWU student Ma Yanjun was picked out by organizers for special honor.
During the competition, CWU players overcame various difficulties and fully carried forward the spirit of “self-respect, self-confidence, self-reliance and self-strengthening”. They strove to do their best throughout, and eventually overcame all competition. It was the university’s sixth championship title in the league since 2007.
It was thanks to the players’ arduous efforts, the university’s help and encouragement, and strong supports from all departments, that the team could achieve such an excellent result. Based on the win, they will train harder, avoid arrogance, and strive to mobilize further campus activities in future. They will also pursue more honors, and contribute to building CWU into an internationally high-standard women's university, said the team leader.
